Play Date is alot of fun. I always have a good time when I attend their events. They have events at the most upscale lounges/hotels here in the Atlanta area. Great place to meet other singles and interact in a alternative method. If you love the music, please give thanks to my boy DJ Doughboy and tell him “Single In Atlanta” sent ya. I love him! CHEERS!

I’m so FREAKN HAPPY right now……Sunday Sessions are back! If you haven’t been, you are really missing out. Where else can you go after a hung over Saturday night where they’ll have a DJ spinning some of the best house music, bottomless mirmosas, a good breakfast, and beautiful people. Oh yea, did I mention this is all in the morning….lol. Check out Sunday Sessions, you are sure to have a good time. CHEERS!

I love The Sweet Water Brewery. Where else can you pay 8 bucks for your own personal glass and able to try 8 different beers! The crowd is a mixed type with like an Abercrombie and Fitch look…ha. This event is Monday, Wednesday, and Friday with an exclusive time frame of 5:30-7:30. During this time, you can also take a tour of the brewery. You can bring your own food and sometimes they have a band playing as well. You are sure to have loads of fun here and meet other cool singles…..CHEERS!

Yea. I would never go to Velvet Room ordinary. I just figured it’s a holiday; let me take full advantage of not having to work on Monday. All I can saw is “awful”. I see why I only do bars, lounges, and adult crowds. First of all I already knew that it gets overly crowded on a Sunday already, so I knew a holiday weekend would be a bunch of shenanigans. So in order for us to get in free and not pay the ridiculous high amount they will be charging, we got there at 9:00 pm. And the line was still hella long. I DON’T DO LINES, but I tried to have a good attitude about it. They didn’t open the doors until like 10:15 and in the meantime people are cutting in front of us, being obnoxious, loud, and immature as the line began to wrap around the building. It was like a cattle call. So we barely make it at like 10:59. Craziness!

Once you got in, it was just so not my crowd and way too crowded. I mean how can you enjoy yourself when everyone is touching you every second and you can’t even sit down. The crowd was like 25 and under BET type. Being there made me feel like I was back in Cali in high school…lol. You know, guys only liking light skinned girls with long hair…ha! Just felt like the “unpopular” girl. In addition to not feeling popular, just walking through the club felt like a meat market or like a market in Lagos, Nigeria…lol.

So by this time I’m praying that a friend of mine who is with the DTP click comes through to rescue me from this madness. He didn’t end up coming because a close friend of theirs had an accident. So I don’t even think Ludacris showed up…..lol…. FOOLS….ha! CHEERS!

P.S. Jeezy is having his album release party there on Wednesday. I WILL DEFINITELY NOT BE THERE….LOL.!

Unfortunately, I was not able to go to the main event on Friday. Boooo! I RSVP’d to late and completely forgot the Black Arts Festival was going on for 2 weeks. I swear living in Atlanta, there is an event everyday. Atlanta is dayum near an event. One of the promoters of the occasion that I know of said it would still be okay to come by, but I didn’t want to risk it. So I ended up at another affair held by someone I also know of. It was called “Fridays”at Canvas Art Bar. This place was spectacular. Very intimate setting with good looking professional men! HA! I met doctors, attorneys, and prominent business men. I would definitely recommend this spot if you are looking for a relaxing place to chill at on a Friday night with professionals. The only downfall was that the women were a bit stiff. They probably needed to put down the martinis for a second and have a Stella. Atlanta women need to relax sometimes and stop trying to impress the men and chasing rims. Because honestly after we left Canvas Art Bar, we went to MJQ and all the men they were trying to impress were at the Q. Remind you, MJQ is an underground spot were being stiff is not an option. MJQ is what you would call my “Cheers” bar. So it was good seeing everyone and also DJ Cozy who is one of the nicest house music DJ’s in Atlanta. One of the men I fancied at the Canvas Art Bar happened to show up at the Q. This man was so very sexy to me. Have you met one of those men who really keep themselves together and well groomed? This was him. I was so drunk, that I was literally using my hands to check to see if his wife beater was just as clean as his white polo shirt and white polo shoes. Not one drop of dirt! Very sexy!  So he was my boyfriend for the night and we enjoyed drinking Dos Equis through out the evening. So now its 3:30 AM, you make your food connections and go home. Wow, what a great Friday. I can hardly wait for the Fish Fry tomorrow. Cheers!
